Snowflake Magnet Give-Away

Living ten years in Florida has really thinned out my blood. I traveled to my hometown of Philly over the Thanksgiving break to be with family and got a chance to remember what it's like to be cold. Really really cold. My 4 year old nephew has a man crush for the Imagination Movers so we all went to see them at Sesame Place. We were sitting in an outdoor pavilion, and with the wind chill, it was around 16 degrees. Pretty cold for a Floridian. Heck, we bring out the scarves when it's 72! Alas, a good time was had by all. My before and after pic...

So for right now, here's the only snow that I can really handle - Wilo Tree Press Snowflake Magnets. And in the holiday spirit I want to share them with you!

I'll be giving away two box sets of 4 magnets. One for you and one for you to give as a gift to your favorite snow buddy! Just drop a comment down below and let me know your favorite thing to hang up around the holidays. The winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Thursday so you have until Wednesday at midnight to drop a line. And please one comment per person. Can't wait to hear from you blog buddy!

  1. My favorite thing to hang up around the holidays is lights. Doesn't matter what color or style, I just love to see the lights again. :)

  2. My favorite things to hang up are the Christmas tree ornaments our children made over the years. Our daughter continued making ornaments right through her flat-broke college years, with many of them tributes to our family totems.

However, my favorite ornament is probably the one she made when she was just 3-1/2 years old. We attended a family event at the museum where there was a table for the kids to make ornaments using supplies that included poster-board cutouts, markers, glue, glitter and sequins. Our daughter spent a very long time drawing horizontal lines on a round paper ornament, and then meticulously gluing on row after row of sequins to decorate both sides. Lost in her world of creativity, she was oblivious to all the other children flitting in and out and either slapping together ornaments or directing their parents to do it for them. Testament to our daughter's creativity and tenacity, the ornament always claims a special place on our tree, hanging so that it catches the sun's rays by day and the Christmas lights by night.

  3. I lived in Bucks county just outside of Philly when I was in high school. Funny how quickly the blood does thin!
My favorite thing to hang up is the Christmas cards our family and friends send. I have two large Japanese lanterns with open frame work and I can fit about 20 cards around each one. They look very festive by January.

  4. One of my favorite things to hang up, this time of year, is a pair of Waldos (of "Where's Waldo?" fame) that my wife and I made from ShrinkyDink paper, a couple years ago. We each hide one on the tree and I spend all season looking for it. (My wife finds mine in a couple of seconds ... I don't look that hard.)

  5. I love everything, all of it. Each year, as the packed away Christmas treasure boxes are opened, I oooh and aaah and smile like a little kid rediscovering and remembering ornaments, the collection of nutcrackers, and festive pieces for every room pulled one by one from their slumber.
